As California opens back up and we return to a semi-normal existence ( I do not know that anything will ever be “normal” ever gain), I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that this past year has been interesting- to say the least. And for me it has been even a little more interesting, as I became a mother for the first time! It was an exciting time filled with introspection and lots of cuddles.
The pandemic for me put into perspective that life can change very quickly and it is important to plan ahead (not just buy buying up all the paper goods ;)). And it also showed that the interactions we have with each other are important and keep us going. Having a baby very similarly made me aware of my own mortality. There are lots of important conversations about the baby and his future that still need to be had. But, I will save my thoughts on those for later.
For now I will just say that I truly appreciate the work that I do and I feel so lucky to be able to do it.
